Inside Liefdog you'll find a variety of dog-raising solutions and support avenues that I wish I had available to me when I adopted my first dog as an adult. I've created an online, searchable, treasure trove that includes:

When can I join?

You can join anytime! Our doors are open 24/7 so that you can start getting the guidance and support you need, without waiting for a spot to become available.


How is the content delivered?

The content in the membership is a mix of formats based on the type of information you're looking for. We often have video tutorials with demonstrations, presentations with voiceover to provide visuals plus an explanation, there are printable handouts that can be completed offline and printed if you choose. Live events are recorded and available for replay, including closed captioning, a transcript, and an audio file. There are short courses as well as longer, more in-depth courses and exercises to follow. 


How much support is available?

You'll be surrounded by support! Not only from your community of like-minded, non-judgemental dog-guardians, but also from ME! I'm in the community regularly, answering questions and providing guidance. 


How is this different from group classes?

While there are many benefits to joining group classes, there are also many benefits to online training. The first being convenience, the second being flexibility, the third being cost. With Liefdog you can access training materials anytime and anywhere, so you don't have to wait until Wednesday at 7:30pm to ask your trainer after class. You will have a variety of ways to learn in virtual training - there are video tutorials that you can speed up, slow down, rewind, fast forward, or skip altogether! You can read the transcript if that's better for your learning style, or even download the audio so that you can listen on your daily commute or in your ear buds while you walk the dog!


How is this different from private training?

Private training can be really fantastic for some behaviour challenges and we still refer out to private trainers! Most dog training challenges can easily be done in a more cost-effective way that also offers more support not just from your trainer but from your community. Private trainers have limited bandwidth for support as they are working with multiple clients, plus travel time. Most are unable to offer detailed support outside of the hour you spend together. Liefdog allows you to have more access to your trainer in order to troubleshoot and make faster progress.


How long will it take me to get through all the content?

Ah, that's impossible to say! There’s new content being added and released all the time, so be ready to keep learning! Your dog never stops learning and you're going to hit speed bumps all along the way, so having a trainer in your pocket and resources you can turn to any time of day or night is invaluable!


When are the live events scheduled?

I try to vary the timing of live events in order to accommodate as many people as possible. I know how vastly schedules can vary with all the different responsibilities we have in life. We also have members all over the world, so time zones must be taken into consideration. Replays are available in the Archive in case you miss a live event.


What are my payment options?

We have two payment options - monthly and annual. Signing up for the annual option gives you a free month!


How long do I have access to the materials?

For as long as you're a member! If you cancel your membership, you'll retain access until the end of your billing period and then you would have to sign up again in order to gain access. We cannot guarantee the same pricing will be available down the road as we add more and more.


Can I upgrade from monthly to annual anytime?

Absolutely! Just jump into your "Account" page and you can do that yourself!


Can I cancel anytime?

I don't know why you'd want to, but yes! You can do that from your "Account" page and your access will end at the end of the billing cycle. Membership fees are not pro-rated or refunded.


Do you offer in-person training?

YES! Caryn works out of Oakpark Pet Hospital in Oakville, Ontario. For anyone who is unable to travel here, we are happy to provide you with a more supportive service via our Liefdog membership or via virtual consult! 


How do I reach you if I have more questions?

In order to serve our customers better and also to ensure a healthy work life balance for our team, we are available for customer service from Monday to Thursday each week via email.

We no longer operate via telephone but are very responsive to messages.
